I was wondering how one goes about changing the Elevate Slideshow to the standard JB Slideshow where I can display images in a directory with the convention convention: myimage1.jpg, myimage2.jpg, myimage3.jpg and so on without assosiating each image with an article text?


The installation states the following, but does not actually allow one to do as it advises:

JB Slideshow scrolls and fades latest news and images of your choice in a module position. Version 2.5 is now improved and streamlined making it easier for you to add images to your slideshow. Adding images to the slideshow is now much easier and only requires that your images are named after the following convention: myimage1.jpg, myimage2.jpg, myimage3.jpg and so on. Hi Jay,

Easiest thing is probably just to upload the files from the jb slideshow v2.54. You will need to add a script reference in the index.php file for the slideshow script and css file but other than that it should be fine.

Unzip the files from the slideshow and then upload to modules/mod_slideshow2 - that will overwrite the elevate slideshow files and give you the control that you are after.
