Hi,

I set up the favicon.ico usng the canvas template right in the main template folder replacing the Joomla one. But something is just not quite right. I am seeing it on certain browsers but not all, it is only visible using chrome but not IE7.0 and Firefox. If I remove the favicon icon it shows no icon but when I have my new icon in the main template folder it still shows joomlas favicon. I cant find any joomla favicons left either so I am at a loss on where it is coming from, and the fact that I can see it in chrome tells me I set it up in the right place.

Thank you for any suggestions!!!

Hi Sandy,

This happens when the cache is not empty. Sometimes it takes a reboot to finally have a browser show the new favicon. Especially FF and IE are the stubborn ones. But don't worry, the right icon will appear in the end. Clear caches and do lots of shift-F5's.

Best,
Tom
