Transfer template to another site

Hi all, and a very Merry Christmas,

I am trying to figure out the easiest way to transfers a template from one of my sites to another - one I have worked on and took a bit of fiddling to get it how I like.

Is the customisation within the template held in the template files or the database? (Obviously the custom CSS is but I was wondering about the other parameters.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Simon,

The template settings are in json files

First make sure you have working backup of the site you want to copy

In the destination site create a new template style and note the id number of it

Open up this path in the site you just created a new style in

\templates\buildr\settings\config

delete the json file for the latest style created (the destination)

Note the filename / id of the file deleted

In the site you want to copy note the id in template manager of the template style

In the same folder of this site

copy the json file with the same id

Then paste it into other site renaming the file to match the filename of the deleted file
