module background colours

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hi
Is there a module class suffix to add a coloured background to the content similar to inset etc but using blocks of colour rather than the grey? Also is there a definitive list of available module class suffixes somewhere. Sorry if I've missed these. I've found some in the template docs and some in the framework docs but I think I must have missed something.

Hi

You can view the classes here

bambootheme.com/showcase/aug15/template-features/module-overview/module-classes

You will need to scroll a little to see them

You also can control the colours with a combination of

row styles (found in the theme tab)
and
colours (found in theme tab)

Hi Paul
Yes I tried the row colours but that seems to make the coloured row full width and I just want the module content coloured. I also found that when I use the module classes the content appears to have no padding rather than nicely spaced as in the examples. Particularly on the site I typically have an article in the main content area and then 2 or 3 custom html modules supplying additional text in sidebar positions and 1 in the below content position. You can see an example on my existing site here:
www.lancashireheelers.org/lancashire-heeler-information/lancashire-heeler-breed-information/colour-variants
I'm recreating the site locally on wamp at present with the Gazetta template but can't seem to find a way to colour a module background in isolation.
Thanks for your help.

Yes I saw those but thought there may have been some that offered theme background colours - can I create others for my theme?

Hi Janice,
You can use module class suffixes such as:

- primary
- primary2
- secondary
- secondary2 etc

They apply a colour to the modules based on the colour specified in your theme. Gazetta uses a subtler style on those module classes though - not the whole background just the module title.

Thanks

Thanks Anthony.
Is it possible for me to add a new suffix?

Hi Janice,

Yep certainly its a case of creating a class in your custom css/less file

and then adding it to the modules advanced tab as normal
