black border in JCE

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

I looked at this for another user two weeks ago styles wise

It seemed to work if I re-installed JCE but if I changed anything afterwards it broke

I think the issues are separate

My last ticket...will that suffice? logins and privileges are the same.

and it could be the way *I* have done something too. or as you say - JCE.

(All the editors are terrible, IMO. Not ready for clients.)

So how are you looking now?

Is it reset and showing the styles?

Well, sort of. Apparently, the box comes in when following JCE instructions and using two stylesheets separated by comma. If I use one of the two (template.css, or custom.css) I see the styles on the one sheet, and the black border disappears.

It seems that i will have to add to the top of custom.css the base classes from template css - unless that is going to defeat less styles.

Have I ever mentioned that I think ALL Joomla editors are horrible?

An editor is tricky and complicated to put together - I do like JCE with its image handling but yes there are always issues with editors - compromises between ease of use and user skills

Unfortunately however much you explain to clients how to use it they always managed to do something wrong or even bizarre :)

I'd add the minimum possible to the custom stylesheet

Hi,

I know this is solved.... but just to confirm to anyone else who ever sees this problem, we have had this on a couple of occasions for no apparent reason. Setting to default has always resolved it.....

So far at least.

It solves it.... unless 'default' is what you don't want. I'm watching with interest activity in the editor components in Joomla right now. From my clients' perspective, Joomla editors aren't nearly where they should be.

Thanks Richard :)

Editors are a pain generally I've found - clients abuse them
