variables.less VS. variables-custom.less

When I look in the themes folder each theme has a variables.less and variables-custom.less

What's the difference between the two? my variables-custom.less already has some variables defined. the other one is blank.

Hi,

variables-custom.less are the values saved by theme magic, so you should not edit this file as it will be reset when using theme magic.
You can add custom variables to variables.less and use the other 2 blank files.

I'll add a link when the article Paul mentioned in your other post is up.
