Hi

I have a website based in the Responsive Template (www.wielerfotograaf.be), but there's no menu when surfing on a tablet or smartphone.

As I browsed through the forum, I found out that you have to install the JB type plugin. This doesn't work for me: there's an error appearing when installing the template:

JFolder::create: Pad bevindt zich niet in open_basedir pad

Waarschuwing: bestand verplaatsen is mislukt!

JFolder: :bestanden: Pad is geen map. Pad: C:/xampp/htdocs/wielerfotograaf/tmp/install_52fe4824dab05

I really don't have an idea how to solve this problem, since I'm rather new to Joomla. Can anyone help me out with this?

Can you install any extension?

As it could the path to the tmp folder in the configuration file is wrong

I can install certain extension, but not all. jce editor doesn't work either..

If you look at the configuration.php file at the root of the site - are the paths right for the tmp folder?

Looking at your initial post it will probably be pointing at

C:/xampp/htdocs/wielerfotograaf/tmp/

I have no idea what you're talking about
But in the configuration file, it says the exact same thing!

Right so the path needs to point to the live site rather than your local host

www.inmotionhosting.com/support/edu/joomla-3/server-settings/change-path-to-temp-folder

So I should change the path as said in the Support Center..should it be www.wielerfotograaf.be/tmp?

No that won't work - I'm not a 100% sure how you would find the path given each hosting set up is different

Do you have any other joomla installs working on this host?

Could you ask the host for advice?

Since this is my 2nd Joomla site, unfortunately not. I will ask the host, thank you!

You can use php but think it would be easier to ask the host

Did you move the site using ftp?

I'd suggest next time using akeeba backup it's great for moving sites

I've used either the free version or the paid version on every joomla site I've ever built

It is also a great backup extension

According to the host this is the path to the tmp: /customers/8/d/4/wielerfotograaf.be//httpd.www/
I've changed it in the configuration.php-file (tmp path=), but the errors keep appearing..Hopefully the host can help me out with this, because I really need the JB type for the menu icon on tablets and smartphones..

Are you able to do another installation of joomla to a sub folder on the account?

The problem is partly solved: I only get one error rule: cannot find the xml-file.

Is that on installing the jb type plugin?

Good news: problem solved!
But a new one appears: when surfing on an Ipad or Iphone, there's an error I've never seen before?
