the unperfect rendering of google fonts is a known issue for browsers like safari and chrome.

Open the site www.tilmann-chiron.com with Safari and find the font pixelated, while with firefox browser the font rendering looks perfect.

Chrome does not render perfect, while suprisingly our bad boy IE 8 can handle the font as good as mozilla's firefox.

Do you have a solution for this annoying behaviour of webkit browsers?

Chrome has a bad reputation for font rendering

you could try the faux bold technique

h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6, blockquote { -webkit-text-stroke: 0.35px;}

Its merits are debated however

I should mention mac users say this makes the font too bold

Its an ongoing issue unfortunately

Looking at the last post to the google.com thread things may improve this year

probably it makes sense doing nothing so far...

chrome and safari users on windows either have never heard of firefox or must have a good reason using it!

Yeah its a pain - doing nothing is a decent strategy

Check after Chrome updates and see if it suddenly improves
