I've just renewed my membership and switched to 12 months, so that I can be able to download more templates. The first one I downloaded was Nebula and now I'm trying for 'Responsive'. As I'm trying to set it up in localhost, I get the message that The Object cannot be found, error 404, and that I should contact the webmaster. I have the same problem with other templates. However, I can start installing Joomla when downloading the Quickstart package. Unfortunately my computer blocks these downloads and so I can't go through with them..

Help?!

Can I just check - are you asking for help with the localhost issue or the download problem or both?

When you say blocked - what happens?

Localhost problem: solved, I downloaded the Responsive template and started creating a site.

Unfortunately, I can never download the Quick Start Packages. I download them as zip-files and I can fill in the first page of the Joomla-installation (site name, admin email, username and password). When clicking next, it takes ages to go to the next page (up until now I've never gotten any further than the first page). There is no error or anything. I'm using Firefox, but had the same problem in explorer or Chrome. Maybe there's something on my computer that is blocking the progress..? There is no antivirus installed.

Not sure whats going on there.

Sounds like you have downloaded the package but there might be an error with the installation. Are you able to try on a live server?

If not can you post the details of your localhost server?

Well I have a testserver, but I have another site on it for a client..
localhost/wielerfotograaf1
database: wielerfotograaf1
username: admin
password: admin

I've tried the same thing with the Nebula template and had the exact same problem there.

Page stays like this for hours, and no quick start package is possible on my pc.
