Transfer template to other site

I have completed the design, custom.css, layouts, and theme for site1.

The company has a sister company that they want the very same design for site2.

What is the best method to transfer the template info?

Should I just FTP the entire /templates/zenbase folder from site1 to site2?

Hi Jeff,

Aside from transferring the files you would need to add the relevant records from the template styles database table to store the template admin settings.

Layouts are stored in files in the tpls folder, their settings are stored in ini files in the etc folder.

Copy the template folder to the new account, use the joomla discover feature to install, then replace the template styles records with the settings from your other site.

I copied the /templates/zenbase folder and Voila! It worked. The joomla Discover did not see anything. But it is all working anyways. Curious.
