Am I missing something? Template new installation problems

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hello Friends,
Ok, am I missing something here? I'm starting a new project and installed latest versions of Zenbase, T3 2.02, Zentools, JBType, Joomla 3.02. Did I also need JBLibrary? It says no for Joomla 3.02...

Its wacky. I can't seem to get any theme magic to work, I created a number of categories, then an article, attached it to a category, then created a menu item to link to the article,( category, article and menu HOME), but neither the content of the article nor the mega menu show up in the front end, even tho I set the template settings to mega menu and put in my site colors in a custom theme magic theme.

Has something changed since my last project a month ago when following the CAM rule worked? Is there a setting I am missing here? Is there a different order now?

Maybe I am missing the definitive list of what I need to install.

Your very very very appreciative friend :silly:

Hi

You need to install the T3 plugin that is available from the template download page

The T3 plugin version you have installed is currently incompatible.

You also need to upgrade joomla to 3.2.1

Cheers

Did what you suggested, uploaded the T3 plugin from Zenbase page and upgraded to Joomla 3.2.1

Still, content in "Home" article, Category Home, Menu Home does not show in front end,

and the changes in theme magic to the color scheme says it has changed in the back end, but doesn't show in front end...

Suggestions?

Many thanks!

Any caching / compression on the site?

Cleared the cache in the browser?

Using the correct layout on the home page - one that shows content and not just modules?

Frontpage content on correct layout set to hide frontpage content?

Taken a backup of the site and then hit compile to css?

Cheers

Thanks!

Still having problems, though with Theme Magic and under Appearance, I want to change the text color. I enter the color and save, but it never budges from black on the front end and in Preview...

Even after you compile LESS to CSS?

Yes, I hit Compile LESS to CSS in the Template Manager… no avail, text in preview and in front end still appears black despite being set to #666 grey...
