Ottoman,

Assuming you are using a T3 Joomla Bamboo theme...

Go into;
Extensions--> Template Manager--> Select a JB Theme-->

Once your in the Template Information;
Click onto the Megamenu button at the top. Select your Menu from the drop-down options. Select a Megamenu Toolbox button and you will get to Item Configuration. In the 'QIcon' type in the font icon you want. For a listing of the available 'QIcon', click onto the link.

Merry Christmas back at ya!

I'm using the Responsive template. Is that a T3 theme?

Ottoman,

The current offering of the Responsive theme is using the T3 framework. If your working with 'megamenus' then you are using T3.

Thanks Ed,

I'm working with Megamenu. I disvoered the reason why the icons weren't showing up on the back-end.

The icon names are listed as fa-home, fa-contact, etc. You should really use icon-home, icon-contact, etc.

For some reason the icons do not appear on the front-end however.

Secondly - when I read about T3, I read about "collapse navigation." This isn't an option on my back-end. and "Off-campus Navigation" doesn't seem to work.

An interesting detail is that "Off Campus Navigation" has a small yellow yellow triangle icon next to it.

As of right now the mainmenu bar does not appear on mobile devices.

What version of the T3 plugin do you have installed?

I just upgraded based on your question so now I'm at 2.02 but I still have the exact same problems.

Ottoman,

The Responsive theme from JB does not support version 2.02 of the T3 framework. Please download/install the version offered in this theme's download section (v1.5). Once you have completed give my instructions a go in getting font icons to show within your megamenus.

Secondly, your menu bar will not show up on any smartphone. The theme is designed to drop this display and replace it with a menu button (top left). When you click this button your menu will slide open on the left side of your screen. I've provided two screen shots that show this process.
