404 error after moving template to new server

Hi,

We moved our school's website ( from one company's servers (LunarPages) to our district server. Now that we've done that, the articles are returning a 404 error. Even when I create a new article, I can't seem to get it to show or connect to a menu item.

The administrator has disabled public write access.

Have you changed any sef settings? e.g. htaccess.text

How did you move the site? used Akeeba backup?
