Duplicated template styles still linked?

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hello,
I've duplicated the ReVision template in the template manager so that I can have two styles, one for home page and the other for internal.

I added a style sheet to the "home" template and another to the "internal" template. But one replaces the other. Meaning, if I update "Internal" and then go back to the "Home" style the Home style now contains the most recent change that was made to Internal.

Is there a way around this?

Are you using injection?

As these are global changes across all the templates

Depending on how much css you are adding you could use the extra scripts panel in the general tab and add the css as inline css

This panel isn't linked

I should also point out you can target the homepage only by using its body class

This is the common way of targetting css at the homepage only

With this you wouldn't need to add stylesheets

Just use the custom.css file

That's unfortunate.

The problem is that they are competing with eachother and I can't control where it winds up in the stack for each style. I just tried your suggestions and it didn't fully react as needed.

I guess I could duplicate the folder and put it up so they are not connected, right?

Not quite sure I'm following

with a body class its totally unique so if you add that before any styling it will only apply to that page e.g. home
That styling would go into the custom.css file

and all the other styling will apply to all the other pages

Adding styling inline does outrank the same styles added externally
