menu item going to 2nd line

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

If I add a 6th item in the Main menu it goes to a 2nd line. However, I have seen other sites (www.pianetacalabria.com) have more than 6 items.

My site is: banerjeegoff.com

Could you please guide to what I need to change/fix to enable more items in the main menu?

Thanks,

Soumitra

I'm looking at the site have you tried to implement SEF?
- as the pages don't work apart from the home page.

I had the same problem this week :)

I've not used this template but can you make the top1 position wider as there is a little used space there

This might work but with only page one on site - you might need to change it back depending how it looks

.moduletable-superfish ul li, #nav ul li {
margin: 0 10px 0 0;
}

hope this helps

Paul,

Thank you for the reply. Yes I clicked on the Search engine friendly url option and none of the pages worked. It's unchecked now and all the pages are working fine. I need to learn more about SEO options.

I looked at theme.css and found the following lines -
.moduletable-superfish ul li,#nav ul li
{margin: 0}

The above did not quite match with your lines, so I do not know what else to change - I am new at this and don't quite understand how everything works.

Thanks again for the advice.

Hi Soumitra,

You just need to increase the number of columns assigned to the nav area. You can do that in the template settings:

layout > menu > navigation width.

What I'd do is make the template width bigger but this would mean changing photo sizes for home page and others

Make it 900 and make the columns for the top1 9 which is what did on the screenshot

I'd try and add text to some of your pages as Search Engines want to read text pictures are a lot less important.

Seth & Paul,

Thank you so much for your input.

I adjusted the top1 width to 9 and it did the trick - www.banerjeegoff.com.
