I'm a new Joomla Bamboo subscriber and I'm really loving the minimalist designs here. To get started I re-did my own website to get familiar with the JB style. It's very simple, but it does the job:

@Ed - Your son's site is quite cool and it's always nice to meet fellow derby folks! I'm currently redoing the London Rollergirls site in Joomla as well. I've seen quite a few leagues using Joomla or Drupal these days.
