'Read more' and images disappear on saving

I'm having problems with the "Read more" in the Zenbase template.
I click the 'read more' button when creating an article and it is applied (grey line appears), but when saving, it disappears.
Same with an image placed in the article - put it in, can see it when editing, disappears after saving.
Any ideas?

Hi NickMo,

Did you create new article in the frontend of backend? What is your editor and your Joomla version?

Hi

I'd try with no editor and see if it still happens

If it still happens I'd then look at changing the text filters using global configuration > text filters > for superuser to no filtering

Cheers

I think it might be a magic quotes issue.
When I use no editor and press readmore, it places the code. Then when I press save, it places a backslash in front of the quotes in the code. Press save again and it places another backslash in front of the quotes.
Is this familiar to you ? do you know what to do about it?

If you are using Joomla 3 then it is required to have Magic Quote off.
