JB Type - Using in Modules

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Using the embed style found on the JB Type page, I added that to my item using the edit function in Firebug.
Hey presto, the icon appeared.

Does look like something is not connected right somewhere, I just dont understand enough .php to work out what.

Hey there - I actually ran into this issue today on the JB blog. Still scratching my head. Thought it might have to do with K2 not rendering the plugin but if that were the case then it would show the syntax.

Ill get back to you.

Weird thing is is that the plugin is loading because you can see the declaration in the head but the styles dont get loaded there. Ill show Jason again and see what he thinks.

Just took a look to see if there was a setting in K2 that was cleaning it up but any cleanup function only relates to the html.

Yes, it is strange.

I know that it can work in K2, as it will show it but only after a search and you can see the css in the head.
Just looks like the plugin is not functioning correctly with k2 items and category items, not sure why.

Yeah weird thing is that it works on the intro category page.

Which version of K2 are you running?

It is apparent it will work, as it is only the JB Type page, so just contemplating if something got broke in V2.2 or V2.1

Using k2.2 for the blog only - not for the content pages.

So on the JB Type page, that a Joomal Article, which I why, in my opinion it works.
Copy that code into a K2 Item, then I bet it wont.

Yep - Ive confirmed this but yet to see why its happening. Displays fine on the category page but not the article page. May be a templating issue. Still more investigation required :)

Hey Simon,

This has turned out to be an issue with JB Type not displaying on any component views. I'm currently working on a change to the way the plugin works in order to get around this.
Will keep you updated.

Cheers,
Jason.

JB Type v1.1 is released.

It is a system plugin now so uninstall the old content -jb type plugin before installing this.

Cheers,
Jason.

Hi Jason,

Feedback . . . . it works 100% in K2 Items.
Will be trying in custom HTML module and some other bits soon.

I even took the liberty of creating a new style too, here is a link to a demo on K2Joom.com

Seems all ok to me.
