Hi. Just became a member of your site. The stuff you guys make are really neat!

I'm new to joomla and to JB. Please forgive my questions and queries:

1. I've downloaded the quickstart template onto my WAMP but the picture carousel doesn't seem to be showing. How do you get it to work. I have been reading the documentation and tinkering for hours but to no avail. Please could some one help me this.
2. I need a social network component on this website which I am working on. As I have noticed that Ascent as a Jomsocial template, I'm inclined to use that. But the reviews regarding the support for Jomsoial is pretty bad. I dont intend to do any tweaking to it and just use it as it is. Is it easy to set up? Any other software you would recommend?

Hi there and welcome aboard.

1. That sounds like a javascript issue but it's hard to tell without being able to see the site. If you are using K2 you may need to check that jQuery isn't loading:

If that doesnt work I think we will need to see a livesite.

2. You might also look at the Anahita component. I dont know about their support but it's worth looking at. I think if you just want to create soemthing that is not a great deviation from the standard install you should be ok.

Thanks. I'll continue to tinker and see what happens. If the problems persists by the time we launch it then I'll use the ticket to let you guys have a look at it.
