I am new to the Joomla Bamboo community, but have been using Joomla for around 6 months with basic templates like beez20 and some similar ones. I am a software engineer by profession.

I loved the Newscycle template and bought a subscription right away. I am sorry for asking really trivial questions, but am really confused to get started with this template.

Firstly, my featured articles are not showing up on the main page as it works with beez20 or other basic templates..? My homepage is not showing any articles after installing the new template. Do I need to change some module position for this ?

Next, I want the main menu tiles to show up bigger and with white background as in Newscycle quickstart installation. But, unable to find from where to do it ? Do I need to alter some css for this ?

Finally, the open panel button isn't showing up either ?

Fixed the featured articles problem. There was a setting called hide content on homepage.

Left with the other two issues before I can port the articles and modules...

Thanks for the reply, but I haven't put this one up online yet, since I have some seo concerns which am working on.
The existing site is a static one but ranks Google number 3 on my target keywords. So, I haven't yet uploaded that.

Am attaching a screenshot of how this looks with this template See, there is no slideshow... menu buttons are very small and not as per live demo...

- the slideshow sits underneath the partially transparent navigation which creates the white effect

The main menu has very small height. I want those to look like thick fat tabs as in sample of this template...

The only thing am concerned with majorly right now is that the main navigation bar buttons have very small height, even if am putting in second line of text as in home button. Please help me fix that...

Also, there is NO open panel button as per demo of this template. Do I need to install a separate extension for that ?

Hi there,

If you remove the _menu module class then it will fix the issue with the menu height.

The panel is automatically displayed when you publish anything to the panel1 top panel4 positions.

I removed the _menu from Module Manager - Main Menu - Advanced Options - Module Class Suffix. I deleted _menu from there as you told.

Still does not work .

The panel issue is resolved and works great
