Don't work in joomla 3.0.2?

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

I try use Captify Content in Joomla 3.0.2 but don't work. I installed V 1.1.11 of Captify Content, and V.2.1.1 of JB library.

When I configured it for items without images show this message: "Error! Unable to retrieve any Images! "

When I configured it for items with images don't work, show white page with this error: "Parse error: syntax error, unexpected end of file in /homepages/26/d240758795/htdocs/modules/mod_captifyContent/tmpl/default.php on line 221"

Sorry for my bad English.

Thanks.

Hi
I am very sorry, I assume you are using k2 v2.6.x but Captify Content is currently only running with k2 version up to 2.5.x
I know devs are working on bunch of fixes inside Captify Content so I hope it will be released soon.

But ZenTools are working correctly and they are far more powerfull...

Hi, thanks for the fast support.

You are right, I'm using K2 v2.6, I wait for released of Captify Content, nowadays I don't have budget for Zen Tools. :(

Thanks you.

Hi
here is beta version. If you are interested, you can try it. But don't blame us if that will not work for 100%.

Any updates on a stable version? I installed captify content assuming it was J 3 compatible. It installed just fine but got an error when published.

I wish I saved it (I uninstalled it from my main site). I installed this on a fresh version of Joomla 3.1.1 which it did not give me an error. The bad news is that it displays nothing.

Hi

Have you tried turning error reporing up to maximum - do you get any more error info?

Thanks for the link, after seeing it I turned error report to maximum. Still don't see any error messages. :(

The good news is that I discovered a glitch which solved my problem. I was doing this on test articles which had no content in them. Even with a intro image it didn't display. So I decided to add one into the article text itself. Suddenly it appears! :woohoo:

I'm now using the beta version (the one in this thread). Still have some minor issues to work out, but now I feel a lot better now. I'll report if what is displayed is an error or out of place. :)

I did some testing on my actual site which non of the thumbnails would display. Finally I decided to add a local image inside the article and suddenly it worked. :woohoo: (on my actual site the article images are mostly external, taken by me of course)

As of the beta version, CC can't grab out external images from other sites. It breaks the image and reads it as:

<img style="height:100px;width:245px" alt="Inspired to Climb Spire Point" class="captify captify98" src="/">

So this is one of the glitches. I'm proposing a method of some sort to cache the images into thumbnails. This way if one has a large image (for the display image) it will not use up as much resources to display the frontpage of my site.

Hey Josh,

I had thought that JB Library had been updated to do this but perhaps that only made it into Zentools.

Ill flag this for JB Library and get a release for it later this week.

Thanks Anthony

Hi Josh,

Thanks for your help. I have 2 new beta versions for JB Library and Captify Content addressing that issue. You will need to update both. Could you test please?

Thanks

Sweet! It works as seen here (look below the slideshow). Now how do I prevent the hover captions from covering the entire image? I'm trying to get the hover effect to be just like the demo of captify content:
bambootheme.com/showcase/jul09/

I played with a lot of settings (especially around the transition) which could not fix this. Perhaps a glitch? Anyways a big thanks for getting me this far. :cheer:

Another issue with the new beta is that in the JB library plugin backend one cannot swap between tabs, but instead it displays what would have been in tabs down below.

Obviously something broke. Probably something minor. ;)

Hi

Do you mean tabs in the admin or the site itself?

Thanks

With the site - does switching to title overlay rather than image overlay work?
