K2 items not showing, message says no items in category

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hi there,

After an update to Joomla 2.5.13 Captify is not showing any items anymore. I get the following message:

"There are no articles in this category. If subcategories display on this page, they may contain articles."

The category I am using actually contains 91 articles..

springrealestate.nl/en/referenties

Thanks,
Steven

I'd suggest doing a backup of the site and then try upgrading the k2 version as well

Did you just update without deleting the existing module? - a module will overwrite the existing version so there is no need to delete the previous version

Hi Paul,

Thanks for your reply, I actually already have the latest version of K2 installed already (2.6.7)

It stopped showing after I updated the Joomla core not the module (I have updated it in the mean time tho)

Cheers,
Steven

Can you update to 2.5.14 and clear the cache

I think there will still be an issue but it does have an important security update in there

Have the previous settings been kept in the module?

Are you able to duplicate the module and see if changing settings makes a difference?

Hi Paul,

Just tried duplicating the module but any changes do not have any effect...

Is it possible to attach some screenshots of your module settings
so I can see if I can replicate the issue

If you change the k2 content source to items rather than categories does that work?

At the moment I've managed to get the have the module working in the templates I tried

The only differences are above and not using item images and instead intro text

Hey Paul,

None of that is working, could you have a look in the back end and get it running again if I got some paid support?

Hi

I've just tested the module here with those settings and it's working fine (apart from the changes I listed above.)

So in order for us to take a look for you it would come under our pro support.

We do actually have a members only module called zentools and I wonder if using Zentools is a better option in this case?

Its responsive and offers multiple functionalities - slideshow, galleries, image lists, - you can find out more here

zentools.joomlabamboo.com/layouts

Please let me know how you would like to proceed.

Hey Paul,

I'm guessing the $45 would be ok right? The module worked before so it must be some kind of bug or setting.

Hi Steven,

That would be fine - once its prcessed create a ticket with your access details in

But I would look at zentools as well - as zentools is intended as the long term replacement for captify
