using noindex

Can anybody explain how to set a single page as "noindex"?

I'm using the Vision 2.0 template and have read about "robot.txt" files but haven't been able to locate them and don't know if that is the optimal solution.

Thanks!

The administrator has disabled public write access.
I don't know how that could be done.

You can easily apply noindex tags site-wide, but I don't think you want to do that.

The better option is to use robots.txt to disallow the specific page. You will find the file in the root Joomla directory.

You would need to add a line like:

Disallow: /~joe/foo.html

Though this may be tricky if you don't have url extensions turned on. Best to ask at the Joomla forums probably, as this is really a Joomla core question.
