Hi,

I have the same problem. When I tried to save the template the system give me this error: Updating css for the utafiti theme.Error:{"readyState":4,"responseText":"","status":500,"statusText":"Internal Server Error"}

Please be certain that your web hosting company is NOT USING the mod_security module linked to the Apache configuration.

I chased a similar inability to save changed template parameters for several weeks, until this proved to be the basic problem.

Just ask the host to DISABLE mod_security.
Then use your own site security extensions, such as Akeeba Admin Tools.
