Installing Build.r constantly redirects to home page

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hello,

I installed the Build.r. theme following the provided instructions and as soon as is active, logging in the backend of joomla! redirects me to the home page.

Some background info:
configuration.php is properly set with the variable $live_site = '';
php version is 5.6
php memory set to 256M

Cannot log in the backend unless the configuration.php variable public $offline is set to 0

Could you please advise?

Thanks.

Hi,

Are you using the normal Joomla .htaccess file?

The offline function is controlled by Joomla rather than the template.

Do you see the same thing when the default template is set to protostar?

Rob

Hello Rob,

the protostar template doesn't redirect, it only happens once I installed build.r and related plugins, that is unless the website is public/online, if I put the website offline, it starts again.

Thank you.

Hi,

If you set the default template to protostar, and set the site to be offline, then you can still log into the admin area?

If so, can you please open a ticket with super admin and ftp details so we can take a look?

There shouldn't really be any reason why the template affects the administration area as it is a frontend template.

Regards,

Rob

Think I found the problem:
configuration.php permissions were set to 444 (no idea why), changed it to 644 and it seems everything is OK.
Will create a ticket as you suggested if that behaviour comes back.

Thank you Rob.

Thanks for letting us know.

Some hosting environments can do that automatically after editing.
