Margin and/or Padding? Where to set it?

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

OK. I have made some progress. Lots still to finesse but I am totally stumped on how to have some white around all my main content areas. I have fiddled with padding and margins where I have seen it, but nothing happens. It is now quite ugly. But considering where I was yesterday with the no background backstretch slideshow, I am amazed at the progress I have made. The map is not right but it will be. Slideshow images aren't final.

Here is one of many links that show this (plus an attachment):

If you look at your version of the Buildr backgrounder theme there is lots of white around the main content. I just don't know how to get it. Can you help me with that?

Carol Jones

P.S. This is not my final question. I'm sure I'll be back.

Hi Carol,

You need to click the pencil icon on the row you want to change in the template settings

Then in the sidebar then opens click the style tab and chose container style and look for padding

Cheers

Ahh...so I select the row but change the container. I never would have figured that out. I've been changing the row padding and margin a million ways to no avail. So now I have the main content fixed. Thank you! Now to remember all the positions I've put all the zentools2 modules in and fix those on the home page...

What fun!

Carol

When searching for zentools module I use the inspect element to see the module id (using the chrome developer tools) and then in module manager click the id column with the type of zentools2 selected in another search filter

If find that much easier when trying to find modules

On this same subject, is there documentation somewhere that explains the differences between the padding options?
The options I see are:
1. Inherit - Is there a general setting for this?
2. Padding
3. Small Padding
4. Vertical Padding
5. Small vertical / normal horizontal
6. Horizontal
7. Small Horizontal

I'll need to check with the team but

docs.joomlabamboo.com/joomla-template/buildr-documentation/row-settings/row-style

This touches on this
