K2 and Corporation Template

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hi

Imported the Corporation template into my existing website.

Ok with the home page but I can't seem to replicate other pages of the corporation template using K2 items/categories.

If you look at this
bambootheme.com/showcase/dec15/services-2/10-aenean-pulvinar-nisi-vitae

and then look at this:
www.ecomad.com.au/mmp_upgrade/audit-services/residential-services/item/663-home-energy-assessments

I can't get the image at the top of the article and the styling to match.

In K2 I have turned off K2 css.

What am I doing wrong

Thanks

If you look at this page - the tabbed section - the css is all out of whack here as well.

Are there clashes with other templates perhaps.

Also, added main menu but when I click on home, it turns the URL from
www.ecomad.com.au/mmp_upgrade/ to www.ecomad.com.au/mmp_upgrade/home

very weird.

Regarding the home - is the menu set up correctly?

the front page is module driven and the link is an article - so I'm wondering if it's correct

Also with -

Are there different templates on the site?

I have a couple of different templates as integrating 3 websites into one as they can each share some of the information - haven't had an issue yet until trying to use the Corporation Template -

What might be causing a clash - where do I look?

Checking with Anthony on this - at the moment, we haven't added k2 styling for any zgf4 themes

You could try the featured zenkit layout

With the zentools frontpage do you have the readmore as the first element in the drag and drop section?

It needs to be the image

Aha - thats it.

So changed it and went through and replicated the Services Module from the demo site

Still does not look the same.
www.ecomad.com.au/mmp_upgrade/

compared to
www.ecomad.com.au/ecomad-Corp/index.php - and clicking services link

Any ideas

Just noticed the little triangle on left of the image sitting towards the bottom of the pic of the zentools results is showing solid on the demo site but is transparent on my site and also not lined up.

Thanks

Also notice the css is not working properly for the blog layout

www.ecomad.com.au/mmp_upgrade/audit-services/residential-services/143-home-energy-audit-corpo

Getting close now.

K2 definitely doesn't work properly - is it relative simple to recreate the blog layout for a joomla article in corp template for a K2 item?

1. Re the space at the top of item it's related to this:

.zt-filter .zt-item:before {padding-top:60%} Not sure why that's in there but if you recreate the master css does it fix the issue?
Otherwise add the following to the custom.css:

.zt-filter .zt-item:before {padding-top:0}

2. The transparent overlay I think is related to the white tow style. Can you try another row as a test to see if that's what is causing it?

3. For the image change it to align none - at the moment it's left. The caption will also fix it self once you make that change.

4. To recreate the Joomla layout for K2 you would need to create an override for it and probably adjust a but of css. The template didn't ship with any extra support for K2.

Thanks

Hi

1. Not sure what you mean by re-create master.css. Where do I find this. Can I copy this file from the quickstart corporate site I have going locally to my test site. Haven't made any changes to any css as yet so bit confused - does the standalone template have different css to the quickstart package?

Also, notice on the demo site it has .zt-filter .zt-item:before {padding-top:60%} and same on my site.

Its the same, but why is appearing differently on both sites?

2. Try another row?

3. Fixed that one. Thanks.

4. K2 hopefully not too hard for me. My existing site has everything using K2 so its a lot of work to change it across to Joomla Articles.

Be good if all your templates were K2 ready :)

Also, any idea on the no.1 - if the 60% is fixed, under residential services link it brings up 3 articles, they don't look the same as the demo.

Hi,
1. In the theme panel of zentools click recreate master css or custom css.
2. In the template > theme panel > row styles
4. They work fine with K2 they just don't mimic the same style as the Joomla layouts. K2 isn't quite the Joomla killer it used to be so we stopped providing specific support about a year or so ago.
5. Not 100% sure what you mean there.
Thanks

1. Recreated Master.css but it didn't see to do anything
Can add to the custom.css with the 60% but why doesn't the demo need to do this - would the zentools2 css clash with something else. I do have zentools 1 as well - could that be it.

Even removing the 60%, the layour is still wonky. www.ecomad.com.au/mmp_upgrade/ - see under Services tab and see the 3 items that pop up - they are smaller, aligned to the left, not filling up the full width like in the demo. I have double checked the settings and everything is identical to the demo zentools Services module.

Interesting re K2 - need to look at the reason I have used it in the first place.

2. With "Try another row" - I went to Template > theme panel > row styles and tried some other styles for the Row Style.

Didn't really like the styles there, and other than some colour changes or position to the left or centre, still have the same issues with opacity of the small triangle

I do have Zentools 1 for an older template I am using. Was thinking whether this might be a reason.

Is Zentools 1 and 2 preloaded or only used by a module when required?
