Changed any of the category content settings? e.g. no longer enough content to trigger the pagination

I have checked on all global levels (article and menu). It's only affecting this one category. There are 5 articles in this category.

What are the settings for the blog layout?

Are they set to show pagination before 5?

I'm not sure where this setting is. Article > Options > Blog/Featured Layouts or in the menu configuration? I couldn't find it in either.

Pagination in menu > blog layout is set to "Global" which is set to show pagination. I do not see an option to show pagination before 5.

Do you get the same if switching to a Joomla default template?

I tried all the available templates and now pagination is missing completely. It must be something in the Joomla core itself. I've checked the plugin and all option settings. Crazy!

What link are you using that isn't displaying the pagination?
