Unwanted hover effect on normal text

Hi Paul - sorry for delay. I had to go to Melbourne for a few days and was unable to implement this until today. It has stopped the unwanted hover 
, however, if there is a hyperlink in the text it's not shown in the hyperlink colour as it normally would be to highlight the hyperlink. It does change colour on hover. In the template settings I don't see an option for a sidebar link color. Have I missed something somewhere?Janice
