Masonary layout from Menu Link

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Seeking to have a menu link which will go to a page which will show all the items in a category using a Masonry layout.

I'm missing something so simple here :blush: however I'm totally lost.

---- update ----

Sorta getting there but no way can I get the menu item to generate the correct outcome.

Chased down all the IDs and getting sort of an outcome
Any pointers would be great thanks

If it's a template it would need a masonry layout - not sure anything springs to mind other than zenkit

I'd use a zentools2 module in an article which sounds like this is what you've done

Template is Medica
Have a "masonry" module setup - masonry-grid
Have the module published in content using both of the following ...

{loadmodule masonry-grid}
{loadposition masonry-grid}

Nothing shows :blink:
All applicable modules and plugin settings are as they should be ... well may be not.

Downloaded and installed the QuickStart again, figured I'd dig there. The content relating to that doesn't exist :ohmy:

Hope that helps.
Currently on my local server, quicker to build/populate/customise.
May shift it to live and see if that achieves something different.

Hi Andrew,

Is the drag and drop section populated as with the content source?

A link might be best

A day is a long time here at present ... I wish :silly:

Ok I'm on a live server www.cultivate.org.au/new/masonry

Content of the page is ...
loadposition
{loadposition masonry-grid}
endloadposition
loadmodule
{loadmodule masonry-grid}
endloadmodule

Interesting that loadmodule doesn't function

Hi Andrew,

Load module isn't something I've ever thought to use - I just stick with loadposition

The masonry module at the top looks like only title is set to display

What do you have in the drag and drop section of the module?

Yes Paul
Image No idea
But given your question I'm suddenly thinking I'm asking the wrong question.
To go back to the beginning this is what I'm seeking to appear when I go to that page

The menu link Masonary < www.cultivate.org.au/new/masonry > links to
this article < www.cultivate.org.au/new/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=157:masonry&catid=2:uncategorised&Itemid=579 > which has the content <p>loadposition {loadposition masonry-grid} endloadposition </p>

The cateogry where I'm drawing the content from is Projects. Set in ZenTools- 2.3.2
The items in that category can all be found under the "What we do" menu tab.

If you click the title link you end up with the following www.cultivate.org.au/new/masonry/22-projects

Hope that helps

Hi Andrew,

With the image I'm trying to work out if it comes from the intro text or images and links section section

No image and no content in the category content.

Not sure why the <div class="zt-item-container"> </div> appears in that way

Thinking?

But where is the module pulling the image from? that is what I'm trying to work out

It shoulds like it loading all the articles from a certain category and for the image to be displayed it needs to come from somewhere inside the content you want to display

Or have I got this wrong?

No image Paul
That category description is blank
Why it's putting the <div class="zt-item-container"> </div> into the content I have no idea
Proposing I remove the module/menu/content and begin again and see what transpires.

Will get back

I thought you wanted images to display in the module?
