How do I prevent the short codes text not to display when I do not want it to render in this zentools grid?

I have tried both on and off.

I'm afraid there is no way around this at the moment. Basically what's happening is that the shortcode syntax can't be stripped because the text is truncated before it's rendered.

I think if you increase the truncate limit and keep the strip plugin text then it should remove the shortcode syntax.Other than that there is no way around that right now.

Ok, then I will leave render plugin on, truncate off, and then play with:

overflow: hidden;
text-overflow: ellipsis;
