Would SSL affect ZenTools?

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

We had to move one website into SSL for the purposes of mobile security - but when we did that, images in the ZT2 modules all vanished. I'm scratching my head trying to figure that out.

I can't provide a link as it's a live site, so had to unpublish the affected modules and resort to lesser solutions.

J 3.4.3

I ran permissions and database optimization from Akeeba admin. Any ideas? Would like to get these modules back! :pinch:

Hey David. Zentools should just inherit the setting in your config have you added a live site variable?

I tried adding one and that didn't make a difference.

And there is one ZT2 grid that works just fine - a boxed layout with no jquery effects. In one of the broken ones I tried loading JQuery, but nothing.

I will create a page on a hidden menu for you to look at. Via ticket or in the forum?

What should the path be for the image?

Um, no - the images are loading as in the ZT2 grid at the bottom of this page. (This module works.)

Are you loading the same article as per the working page?
I'm trying to rule out path issues

To the best of my knowledge, the only thing that changed was SSL - which makes me think a dynamic call to JQuery might be a problem.

It may have something to do with this:

.zt-animated > div:nth-child(1) > div:nth-child(1) > a:nth-child(1) {display:none}

Thats coming from the override.css file :)

that wasn't it. I am having ZT2 problems throughout the site - so it's likely a template issue. (It's not a JB template.)

Have you had any joy from the template provider?

Do you get the same using a joomla default template?

Did you say 'support' from that particular template provider? I almost spit a perfectly good mouthful of IPA out my nose. :whistle:

Mostly ZT2 works fine everywhere else, except I keep getting 'this module requires either the Title tag or the image tag to be displayed' even when I want neither. and when i turn on the title, the word 'title appears next to it. This has happened a couple times and I've had to use some axe-inspired css hackery to make this go away.

You still have this rule in the override.css file:

.zt-animated > div:nth-child(1) > div:nth-child(1) > a:nth-child(1) {
display: none;
}

Display none hides the content.

a 'late' version if not the latest. I don't get announcements and I don't spend a ton of time on farcebook which is the only place I see announcements.

If I remove display:none the images and the content appear. Not sure why that wouldn't work for you but that rule is very definitely hiding the images.
