Zentools2 Documentation .. spotted some errors

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

I look forward to using it. At the moment "Read the documentation" (zentools2.joomlabamboo.com, about 3rd panel from the bottom) links to www.zenbamboo.local:5757/dev/zentools2/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=69&Itemid=260, i.e. gives a server not found error) - Just saw that the link in the menu works (and gives the answer to the question below).

Q: I wanted to read-up/find out if there are limitation to integrate Zewntools2 with an existing site/template, e.g. Newstream2/T3? (A: Zentools v2 is a completely new extension and as such can be used in conjunction with Zentools v1. The benefit of this is that you can slowly move your existing Zentools v1 modules across to Zentools v2 without losing any of your content.)

Philipp

Hi Anthony,

yes it did ..

.. but I think you should add somewhere "with caution": I installed Zentools2, created a caption layout, tried out the different option for the image soure, changed the colours and compiled a master CSS and in the process managed somehow to make all images in my current Zentool grids disappear. Images in slideshows were there, so I don't quite know what happend. Un-installed Zentools2 and got the images back. Re-installed Zentools2 again .. all looks good .. but I think the parallel operation may have to be undertaken "with caution".

Philipp

Hi Philipp,

Thanks for the post - did you happen to see the error in the browser console window when the images didn't show?

When you re-installed zentools2 I'm assuming you didn't re-compile the css when editing a module for the second time

Cheers
Paul

Hi Paul,
no, I did not check for errors and yes, I have not done anything else (like re-compiling the CSS) since I re-installed the extension.
