Hi Folks,

As you know Zentools v2 was released last Friday and we are already getting some great feedback. I'd love to know what you think we should add, improve perhaps remove

Here are a list of things that are on the list for v1.1:

- Add button for curated gallery that bulk adds images to a gallery
- Add Vimeo and Youtube as content sources
- Look at Ohanah for a new content source
- Look at adding Hika shop as a content source
- Look at support for Sobi Pro
- Look at referencing an rss feed in Zentools2
- Add Easyblog as a content source
- Zentools Calendar layout
- Add responsive table option

As you can see there are still somethings we need to investigate but I'd love to hear from you what you think we should add.

It would be great if you could add an option of overlayed date on the image, as it used to be in Zentools v1 (eg. in grid layout)

Thanks for producing zentools 2. Looks great. For me the addition of easyblog is essential so delighted to see that is coming in the next release.

I tend to use the filter layout loads but find the options somewhat limited. Is there any chance of mixing and matching ie using the filter with masonry layout, filtered grid using one of the new caption layouts rather than standard overlay or filtered expanding layout?

That would be great. A full page overlay animated would likely come very close as would a full page caption style. It looks like the overlay can be formatted in different ways. Not sure if the caption and overlay could work together too.

Designs are moving to larger images, with the use of overlay/caption to give context and key content. I can see that you are thinking about this in your designs.

The use of paginated slide shows are useful to have, but rather dated as the reader has to make a number of clicks and the pagination clutters the screen.

I would really like the option of a hover overlay for the grid layout.

In particular for the Grid layout with boxed theme. The example you have with equal heights enabled option is a good case. zentools2.joomlabamboo.com/zentools-layout-styles/grid

If an overlay option were available then the result would be similar to that shown on this site. www.theguardian.com/uk-news

I would love to see an option for "Item count" in the Item Layout interface. If selected, it would show the number of items for the selected content. I think it might need a few options/parameters for opening and/or closing text strings, and maybe text positioning and styling.

I attached a screen shot for one example of how the "Item count" field might be displayed on a ZT2 page (the red text).

I would like to see more options for variable masonry grids - instead of all the same width, a grid of various sized boxes.

I looked at K2 tag as content source but there isn't actually much content to pull in there. The tags in K2 dont have description, image etc so it would just be the title which I dint think would be very useful.

Re the filter layouts with different sized grids - I will add that in the next major update. not the very next one.

I'll look into adding title pagination in the slideshows - was that where you meant?

@Tomek K2 tags dont really have much info - just the title. So I dont think it would be very valuable to use that. I agree if it had image, intro text etc that would definitely be a nice addition.

Re Pagination - can you share some more details?

I think that will add some overhead to the processing but it's certainly possible to add it. Will do so for v1.1

Anthony - thanks, yes that is what I meant by title pagination in slideshows, in place of thumbnail or numbers, using Item or article title.

For K2 tag, what I mean is not to show info about the tag itself, but to show items from a specific tag.

Also, another note: I was trying to set up a grid from K2, and I couldn't seem to find an option to include children categories. Then the list of categories is not tiered, so its difficult to tell which are children.
