Hover and pop-up JBMaps not working properly

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hi JB,
After the last update (this week) of JBMaps (yes, the previous problem is solved Rob/Paul!), the name of the object of some markers doesn't show up when hovering over it. Some of them doesn't even show up when I click on it. Is there a maximum of markers I can put? I saw there was one question on the forum about it, but found no answer...
In Chrome it seems to work fine, in FireFox it's a bit lame.

Grtz,
Dick

Hi Dick,

Are we talking about the admin or the front end of the site?

Thanks

Hi Paul,
Front end. Check this link for an example: green-island.holiday/nl/activiteiten-corfu/corfu-stad-corfu
You have to go to the bottom of the page.
Thanks in advance,
Dick

Hi Dick,

I can't see any difference between the two browsers

In the browser console window I do see

You have included the Google Maps API multiple times on this page. This may cause unexpected errors.

Are all the settings ok in the module?

Cheers
Paul

?? On the Advanced Tab of the module I gave in the API from Google and put Load Maps API on Yes. Anything else I nee to do?
It seems that in FF only the first contact, hover or click, works fine. Maybe got to do with refreshing the page?

Should all the icons show information on hover or click?

Information: not all, if it has information it have to appear on click. But at least the name of the location should show when hovered. In FF it seems a refresh problem. Once opened the first item hovered shows teh name. Then it's over most of the time. Although it's not consistent behaviour.

Hi Dick,

From the source code of the page, it looks like both map modules on this page are set to use click and not hover.

The text that you see whilst hovering the icons is the title element and is the standard browser styling of the attribute.

If you would like a title within the info window you need to add it to the marker contents text box.

Rob

Hi Rob,
I probably explained wrong. Not every item has a content, some others have, with or without a title in the content. Fact is that the title of the marker should always appear when hovering it, right? So far Chrome does the right thing, FireFox doesn't. Most of the time it only shows the title of the first hovered item (with or without content when clicked) and that's it. Only after a refresh (F5) another item title might appear when hovered.

Grtz,
Dick

Hi Dick,

It seems to be a bug in the api code.google.com/p/gmaps-api-issues/issues/detail?id=4431

There is a suggested workaround by setting
optimized: false

In the marker options, which could be done in a template override.

If you can open a ticket we could test it out.

Rob
