Item navigation

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hi, I use K2 with Responsive2 and I don't see the item navigation. I checked the template settings and can't find any setting about it, only the sticky nav thing, which is enabled. In the K2 settings item navigation is enabled too. I checked the local version of R2, as well as the example on your own site and there is item navigation. How can I fix it?
And related to this subject, can I change the position of the
Prev/Next
text to let's say the top of the article?

Hi Paul,

K2: Last update: August 4th, 2016 - Version 2.7.1
Responsive2: 1.3.3 20/08/2013

The template seems a bit old. Is that the problem?

Grtz,
Dick

Hi Dick,

1.4 is the latest version

But I don't think this is the problem

I would suggest if you want to try updating to backup the site first

With the k2 settings can I just confirm that the settings aren't inherited from a different category?

Maybe it's more easy then it looks like. Is there anything I must enable, make a setting in the template, whatever? I have enabled item navigation in the K2 categories, but I don't see the nice blocks prev & next...

Do you have any of the bootstrap assets enabled?

Ah? I checked and the 3rd party framework wasn't enabled. When I do, there's a huge list of things I can check in. Problem is that I don't know why to use this Bootstrap for. Shall I enable it, and if so, which version, 2 or 3? And the which files?

As yet I've not done anything with bootstrap in the template settings or installed zenkit

yes, that's what I have (in different colours). But I want the buttons as I see them in the QuickStart Responsive2 site.
Do I have to install Zenkit?

Hi Dick,

The template doesn't have any overrides for k2, so I think the issue must be in the k2 settings.

If you switch templates to protostar, do you then see the navigation?

Rob

I will not change to Protostar Rob, Why do you think I chose Responsive2? :-)
I thought that the navigation was a part of Responsive2. If not, no problem, I will fix something in css to make the item navigation a bit more fancy.
You can consider this issue done, fixed. Thanks for your effort Paul and Rob!

Hi Dick,

Sometimes we suggest switching to the default Joomla template as a way of testing

Do you get the same if you temporarily switch template?

Hi Paul,

I didn't do the switch, afraid that something will not be screwed up when I put Responsive2 back. Si I removed the templatse Beez3 and Protostar.
I fixed a more elegant style myself with css, am happy now.
Sometimes it confuses me a bit what is K2 outlook and what the template. I think that was the cause of this question, since the QuickStart installation showed the nicer outlook.
