Is this ZenTools?

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

It looks like the attached image is from ZenTools but I can't figure out which one. Can you help?

Sorry it took so long for me to respond Paul.

Here is the link.

demo.joomlabamboo.com/index.php?theme=mar15

It is the three column of images there labeled as "Powerfully Responsive."

So is that Zen Tools or ZenTools2?

Thanks,

Kim

Hi Kim,

The text titled Powerfully Responsive is a grid1 module and its a custom html module

The images and content are zentools version 1 and are in position grid4 and moduleid as above

Paul,

Are there "detailed" directions on how to use Zen Tools? I am finding it very convoluted and not sure what all the many options do. I have searched the documentation, but there is nothing that explains the more than 50 options I have to configure.

Yes... one in the same. I have tried to go in and configure it but as you can see on my home page.. it is not working.

I had at least the title showing but now nothing is coming up.

Ok

So we're in module manager and we've clicked new and selected zentools (its version one and its called Zentools)

It is listed in module manager as

Zen Tools - Zen Tools makes creating image and content galleries for Joomla simple

I'd suggest for testing purposes enabling the module title so if the content doesn't work for any reason we can see the title

Chose the module position or enter your own position name if using loadposition

Set the Zentools module assignment as required

Moving to General Settings tab

Chose the count e.g. how many items/articles will display in the module - in this case it's 3

In this tab you chose the Link behaviour e.g. what content type is loaded when the content is clicked
In this case make sure its set to content item

In the next tab which is layout

Layout Type - select Grid
Content Source - Select content e.g. Joomla content

In the item layout you need to drag elements from the available items to the layout - I drag the item across and drop it on the text labelled "Drag items here to use"

In this case (in this order)

Image
Title
Text

In the next tab - which is labelled "Content Type Settings"

In the demo site example it loads content from the work category

This covers the settings used

For me personally I'd download and install the quickstart to a localhost and use that as a reference

For my style of learning I find that much easier

I'd also experiment with different settings

So get the module how you want it and then select the module in module manager and duplicate it so you have 1 version safe and the other you can fiddle/adjust with

Paul,

Thank you so much for all the detailed info. I followed your instructions but it is still not animating the way it is supposed to. If you look at the Ecolife version, there is a color change when you mouse over and the entire section glides/moves up. When you mouse off it goes back.

What am I doing wrong?
