Module in position "Panel" opened

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hello :)
Is it possible to have the module in position "Panel" already opened when the page is displayed? Is there an option for that?
Another thing: I need to translate the word "More" (the button which closes the module), but I can't find the value in the language manager… how to translate it?

Thank you

Hi

Regarding the panel - there isn't a setting for that
Just curious why are you looking to implementing this?

What are you looking to do?

Hello,
I need to display a warning announcement, this announcement must be immediately visible without being invasive (it can be closed after having read it), if the panel is closed users will never see it and maybe they will never open.

Can you tell me where is situated the jQuery fonction? ...I think it's a simple slideToggle function …

Thank you

Hi,

If the aim is to display something like a cookies warning then you would be better off looking for a specific plugin on the Joomla extensions site.

To open the hidden panel on page load you would need to trigger a click event on the open link using javascript on pageload.

This in it's self is not enough though as the panel would open up on every page load as the user navigates the site.

If it needs to stop popping up after they have closed it then you need to add a cookie to the users browser to signify that they do not want to see the panel again and then check for that cookie on each pageload to see if the panel should be opened.

The hidden panel isn't really intended for this kind of functionality and may not be the best solution.

Regards,

Rob
