Back again as the issue(as below) repeats after rebuild from scratch.
Can't find any in the fora.

I did this:
Went to Module > New > Zentools2
Single item gallery, source Images, dragged image, set link as lightbox, chose folder
Preview is fine.

Repeated this, preview instance 2 is fine, instance 1 shows content of instance 2.

Repeated again, instance 3 is fine, instances 1 and 2 show content of no 3

Left everything at default values in zentools
Reduced number of images in folder 2 from 13 to 5 but no help.
Folders 1 and 3 contain each just 2 images
Every instance has its own place, i.e. grid 5, 6 and 7

Wonder what's causing this.

And also not sure if i get the meaning of
- Showing 5 items in a SINGLE layout using IMAGES as a content source.
- Count 5 refers to this I guess but no idea if and where to change?
Changed it once to 15 as item 2 had 13 images in it but it seems it stays at 5.

Thanks for spotting that - Ive fixed this and will release it in v1.0.6 later today.


Ive removed the count in the overview in the latest version. I'm not sure that it necessarily adds much information and it was written before I made the changes to the count function so it wasn't even accurate.

Found the update 1.06 and this issue is fixed, it now shows the right content.

But when I come back to a newly created module of zentools i cannot edit it, it seems locked???.

Also the lightbox only shows 5 images from the folder even when the appropriate field is left empty by default so that is still an issue. The countfield however stills show 5.

And I cannot get the title of the image displayed in the lightbox (I don't want the title in the single item but even if I drag it there no show in lightbox.

Hope you can help me out.

When you say locked do you mean the module has a padlock against its name?

Are you able to save the module and compile the less to css?

Just to flesh out my comment - from the documentation

"Please note that after installing this update you will need to compile less to css in the module admin. eg click on create master css and also any custom css for modules that are using this option."

No there is no padlock so it is checked in.

I made a new instance after compiling less to css in the zentools2 master module but it does not resolve this issue. When I reopen the instance for editing can't do anything, it does not save just close.

Not sure if I understand the procedure.
Is compile to css in zentools 2 module (which is all default) enough.
It just handles the theme or does it more?

I create new instance, make the desired settings, should I compile to css (master) in that instance?

Been experimenting a bit with other layouts of the zentools module.
Same problem when reopening the instance of the module, also noticed that changes made when filling in settings (eg nr of items shown on small screen) remains at 4 (caroussel). I still see a count on the source tab, can not delete it so hanged it to 99.

Funny thing is that save and new is working to close the module but save or save and close just dont do anything. Anyway, made all the instances I needed without making mistakes or changing my mind so i can leave them now as they are.

Maybe I dont understand the recompile thing?
I downloaded the zentools2 module, opened the original one and pressed the create master button. I understood that all instances from the module will now use that master and that i have to create a custom file in an instance if i want an instance of the module to look different. Right?

Btw, I suppose that on reproducing this all is fine on your site so I am thinking it may be a server issue??

As I am here now, how come the fontcolor in a theme is only targetting the bodytext and not an unordered list (in a html module). Ofcourse I can set the right color in this module but wonder if I am overseeing something in the template admin.

seems not to target an ul (unordered list).
Is there a setting in the template? Otherwise I can adjust in the html module.
