footer menu keeps becoming main menu

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hi on www.friendsofhonleylibrary.org.uk/ with username and password 'preview' I have two menus - main menu and footer menu. The footer menu keeps loading first and acting as the 'main' menu, displaying the links page as the default page. I don't know how to fix this. I tried switching the menu items to the other menu and asigning it to the other module position but it didn't work.

Is this a template issue?

I'm not exactly sure what I'm looking at as I don't see a footer menu on the site

I only see a menu published to the navigation and working as expected via the sticky menu

Are you referring to the actual page content? - e.g. its displayed the unexpected content on the home page?

When you visit the main page, the links menu appears ( the links are the first item on the footer menu.) by footer menu, I mean one published in the bottom of the website, to the position bottom1.

What I want to happen is for the horizontal menu in the 'menu' module position to appear when you load the main site. I want to see the 'home' item from that menu appear first.

When I click on menu manager in the back end, I see a house icon next to the menu in bottom1 position. I don't know how to reallocate which menu is used as the dominant one. I've tried the methods I tried to explain before.

With the home page you need to click and add the home icon to the page you want on the home page

I would assume you would use the home menu item of the menu that is selected to show in the menu module position (you can see the menu selected by checking the module settings)

The icon - I can find all the modules and menus but I can't find how to change which one has the home icon next to it and is therefore the one that shows up when the website loads.

There is a column in the menu manager with Home listed in it
You click the star of the menu link you want to be the home page

You can only have one home icon active across all menus
