How do I turn off the offcanvas?

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hi,

I am trying to remove the offcanvas but I can't find how. I unpublished the module but the menu is still in the main nav and when I click on it the offcanvas appears without any content in it. I would like to remove it entirely.

Is there a way without hacking the CSS?

Thanks

The administrator has disabled public write access.
Do you have the responsive menu option set to offcanvas?

It shouldnt display unless you either have a module published to the offcanvas position or that menu option enabled.

Thanks

Hi,

Yes the responsive is set to offcanvas. I want to keep it like that because I want it on mobile but I don't want to see it on desktop.

Is it possible to remove it on desktop only?

Thanks

I also want to remove the Offcanvas. There is no module published there but it still shows.
What do you mean by set the responsive menu option to offcanvas? Where to find this option.

Åh, I've got it, when I speak about my problems, they find their own solutions :)

In template - responsive tab - Collapsed Menu Behaviour- "no change"

Hi folks,
Ive just tested this again and it's working as expected.

Here is the logic behind it:

1. The offcanvas trigger icon is displayed if:
a. A module is published to the offcanvas position
b. If the responsive menu is set to offcanvas in the template settings under responsive.

Furthermore the minimum width where the offcanvas icon is displayed can be controlled under the menus > offcanvas panel in the template admin.

So it's possible to only display the offcanvas panel at certain screen sizes eg hide it at desktop and only show on tablets even if you have offcanvas selected as the responsive menu option or a module published to the offcanvas position.

Hope that helps.

Actually - my mistake. I was testing on the (now released) version that had this issue fixed.
My apologies but v1.1 will fix this issue.

Thanks Paul, but where to turn this on? in my template layout widths option I see all the modules and beside each 3 different ways to display, but I left it as it is, because I don't understand what "stack, hide and no change" does to the page. I didn't dare :-).
Is it there i activate the mobie menu?

I am STUPID, I found it, in the responsive tab. I will change it to something nice there :)
