Creating new theme throws error and theme colors not loading in backend

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hi,

I have an upgraded site from 2.5.x -> 3.4.1 and I installed Xero 1.3.0.

In the backend template edit area, I cannot see any colors or values loaded in the Theme options and when I try to save and compile theme, I get this error in a pop-up that fades quickly, so I had to practice a couple of times to copy before it disappeared (kudos to me :silly: ):

0 - error evaluating function `darken` Object of type Less_Tree_Keyword passed to darken function. Expecting `color`. inherit. Array ( [function] => darken [class] => Less_Functions ) index: 1053
You may not be able to visit this page because of:
1. an out-of-date bookmark/favorite
2. a search engine that has an out-of-date listing for this site
3. a mistyped address
4. you have no access to this page
5. The requested resource was not found.
6. An error has occurred while processing your request.
Please try one of the following pages:
• Home Page
If difficulties persist, please contact the System Administrator of this site and report the error below.
error evaluating function `darken` Object of type Less_Tree_Keyword passed to darken function. Expecting `color`. inherit. Array ( [function] => darken [class] => Less_Functions ) index: 1053

Any ideas what I should check (working locally)? I already have set the php memory up to 128.

Thanks,
Helen

Hi Helen,

If you use a different template theme style does it still mess up?

Hi Paul,

Yes, changing to a different theme style has the same results.

I am not able to create a new theme name. It shows the error and then a green success box at the top of the page, but the frontend shows a missing template with no css.

But if I load an [example]theme and let it "smartly" select a new theme name, it will still show the error, the green box success and will load the theme and template on the frontend.

An example theme WILL function correctly when saved even with the backend errors.

Hey Paul.

I am doing this again with Admin Tools in place. I have made the necessary changes to the .htaccess and to the WAF but I get the same error. So I disabled .htaccess and I get the same error.

I am using Responsive2 but I read that it is based off of Xero so I am posting here. ;)

Thanks,
Helen

This is unique to Responsive2 so I am starting a new thread.
