Banner position below menu

Hi,
Wanted to show a module between the Logo and the menu. The Xero layout shown position sequence the Banner position is in between. But when I load a module there it is showing below the menu. What can I do to show a module between logo and menu?

Hi Dirk,

Actually it shouldn't display between the logo and the menu in the admin.

I would probably publish a second module to the logo position and set the logo module position to 12 cols perhaps. That will do what you need unless you are using the header position.

Thanks

Anthony,

Is the position sequence shown in the Layout not the sequence the positions are loaded in the frontend?

Next to the logo I have loaded the search position. I can not widen the logo position to 12 therefore.

I am not using the header so far.

I loaded the module in the menu position just above the menu. It is showing up correct. But because the position is sticky to the top it is not working as needed. I need an additional position between the logo and the menu with full width. Is it possible?
Thanks.

Hi Dirk,

Ah yes sorry I had forgotten about that.

You will have to use a custom template override for this.

Edit the tpls/blocks/logo.php

Actually Ive attached an override for you. replace the file mentioned above with the file attached.

Hi Anthony,
I had a similar question about putting content in the banner module position.
I have used the code you included here.
I am wondering why did you put the footer module in this code? I took it out as it causes the footer menu to load.
best,
Stephen

Hi Antony,
Should I update my Xero template now with a version that shows the true positions of the modules? I just don't want to layout my website to find that the template has the module positions updated and thus needs revising.
I have attached the current layout controls shown in the template.
best regards,
Stephen

Hi Stephen,

Thanks for catching the footer reference - sorry about that.

The admin layout display doesn't affect the front end actually so you wont need to change anything when the theme is updated.
Thanks!

Anthony,
Is it possible to show the position in the backend in the same order they get loaded in the frontend?
It is confusing when they have a different sequence.
Thanks.
