alert alert-message without any styling

does not have any css styles applied even when I switch to the Xero default setup and the bootstrap3 theme. Am I missing a css file?

Do you have alerts enabled in the bootstrap element selector under the theme panel?

The styling came back by loading fontawesome in the zen shortcodes ... weird but thats the way it is ...
