The gray stripe needs to be transparent

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hello,

Me again… thank you for all of your help in the past. I am working on a new website and because the logo height, which has to be that big, a grey horizontal stripe covers up the top of the pictures in the slide show. Is there a way via css that the grey stripe can be made transparent? Here is the page. Please advise.

Thank you so very much.

Hi Elizabeth,

Do you mean like this?

.navbar-default {background:transparent !important;}

OK I tried putting the following rule
.navbar-default {background:transparent !important;}
into my custom.css file and uploaded the file.
But it did not make the grey stripe under the logo disappear. see page:

Do you have any other ideas.. the grey stripe is covering too much of the picture. I would
like to make it look like the attached image.

Thank you.

Hi Elizabth,

I think this should do what you need.

Add the following to your custom.css:

.silvertiplogo {position:absolute;z-index:1}

Thank you Anthony however I added

.silvertiplogo {
position:absolute;
z-index:1;
}

and the grey stripe did not go away.

Hi Elizabth,
I don't see that code in your custom.css file.
Can you double check that it's there?
Thanks

thank you Anthony,

Oh yes, you were right I was putting the css (see below) into the wrong site. So I added the following css. but the menu gets hidden over the image in the home page slideshow or on the location.

.navbar-default {background:transparent !important;}

.silvertiplogo {
position:absolute;
z-index:1;
}

Is there another css solution?

Thanks, Elizabeth

Hi Elizabeth,

I still don't see the code on the link.

If it gets hidden - which I'm not seeing here. Change the z-index to 100 or 101 perhaps.
Thanks

Dear Anthony and Paulus,

I am getting very tired of this template not working.. Is there any way to pay you to go in and fix everything so that it looks like the attached image. I don't think I will be using this template again.

Please and thank you. Elizabeth

Hi Elizabeth,

You could purchase a 1 hour support block and we could change the code for you

Hi Elizabeth,

I see the logo positioned as your screenshot but your custom.css has the background color removed.

If you remove this line in your edit then it will look like you want it to:
.navbar-default {
background: transparent !important;
}

Thanks
