modifying k2 item image width

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Is it possible to modify this template so that the k2 image is the full width of the template in k2 item view - basically the same dimensions as the homepage slider on the demo?

In what context? Sidebar in place? what layout are you using?

Not using zenkit?

Do you have a link for what it looks like now?

Right perhaps get back to us when you have a link?

I think I will need to ask a developer for an input so they would to see a link - I'm not sure if this possible

The following user(s) said Thank You: pete
finally coming back to this...

here's the site, now live since last night & loads of fixes still left thumped.com/

And here's a random K2 item page using magazineleft

thumped.com/movie-reviews/jupiter-ascending.html

so what I'd like to be able to do is maintain the full width image from the homepage on the k2 item pages. Is this possible?

edit: in case you can't see it and are wondering why there's a large empty space, there's meant to be a 300x250 MPU ad at the top of the sidebar

I'm not quite following

Do you mean the sidebar is removed and the content area is full width?

N = navbar, I = K2 item image, K2 = K2 item content, SB = Sidebar, F = Footer

NNNNNNNN
IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
K2K2K2-SBSB
K2K2K2-SBSB
K2K2K2-SBSB
K2K2K2-SBSB
K2K2K2-SBSB
K2K2K2-SBSB
FFFFFFFFFFF

yeah i'm sure that's perfectly clear....

So from the text above - you want all the pictures above the text?

How would that work relating to the text content below?

My apologies its friday :)

i suppose another way of describing it would be (looking at the newstream2 grid layout) to take the current k2 item's image and display it in a module in say the grid9 position, which would position it above main & sidebar 2... I have no idea if that's even possible

Is it an option to use zentools to display the item images in a module position above the content and then remove the image from the k2 item using the k2 settings?

well, i need the image shown in the module above 'main' to be the image specified in that specific k2 item's image tab, and I don't know how to do that in zentools... I'm not missing something really stupid here, am i? wouldn't be the first time.

In the Layout tab of the zentool settings - In the content source are you selecting K2?

Are you able to use zentools if its not k2 based content?

Yes, i'm selecting K2 in zentools but i've no idea how to tell it to use the k2 item image from the currently viewed item.

So, say I choose a flat slideshow with a count of 1, a link behaviour of none, K2 as the content source. So far so good. Then i go to K2 Item Options and there's nothing there (that I can see) that says "display this item's / this article's image"

If you click the k2 items box in K2 item options do you not get a drop down list appear either with categories or k2 items?
