cannot set mainwrap width in a mediaquery

Not sure why - when I target the area in dev tools, I can change the #mainWrap (or #main) width. But in mediaquery - all mobile devices - I cannot get mainWrap to 100%.

viewing primarily on 10in tablet. maybe you have an idea about what I'm doing wrong?

Not 100% sure what you are trying to do

Is it that you want the grid_four widths to go full width?

ah have you tried altering the layout in the responsive layout section of the template settings layout tab?
