Menu Styling

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

On your demonstration view of Lifestyle2 the main menu has each menu item colouring over the background white bar from top to bottom. On my site
www.winstonsportscentre.co.uk
the colour only covers the text of the menu item but leaves gaps above and below plus the text is slightly higher than that of the HOME which I haven't done any changes to (I used the quickstart package to create the site)

Is this something to do with T3 (Which I am currently trying to get to grips with ) or is it something else. I can't see where my setting are different to yours - although presumable they must be somewhere.

Thank in advance
Ann

Hi Ann,

I get for that site

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access / on this server.

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Hi Ann,

Know that feeling

Is this the latest version of the template?

Its a glitch with the menu type but as above thought we fixed it

Hi Ann,

Try adding

.navbar-default .navbar-nav > .dropdown.active > a .caret, .navbar-default .navbar-nav > .dropdown.open > a .caret, .navbar-default .navbar-nav > .dropdown.active > .separator, .navbar-default .navbar-nav > .dropdown.open > .separator {
display: block;
}

.navbar-default .navbar-nav > .dropdown > .separator {display:block;}

Hi Ann,

Pagespeed will have been added via an option in the hosting panel

Its not in the joomla site its on the server

If you view the source code on the site you can see pagespeed applying in the header section of the html

I'd suggest asking your host to help you - they should be able to do this or advice you how to turn it off during the development process and then turn it on again once the site is 100% finished

Hi Ann,

Regarding adding the styling
Can you add it to the custom.css file

Are you familiar with how to do this?

HI Paul

I have added the css you provided earlier but it is not quite the same as that on the demo site.
On the demo when you hover over a menu link (Main Menu) the text changes to a lighter shade but does not put colour in the surrounding area until you click on it.

Mine (www.mymirrorandme.co.uk) changes colour as soon as I hover over it. and once I click on a menu link it does the drop down but then leaves it there when I go to the next menu link.

Additionally when the colour is added it doesn't quite go to the bottom. I have attached a jpeg showing what I mean.

Hi Ann,

Are hover on drop downs activated?

What browser are you using as I don't see the colour issue
