Image logo and general type size changes in LifeStyle2

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hi guys, I was first setting up a site redo with NewLifeStyle but decided to change to LifeStyle2 because of the single page possibility. But the options for changing the image logo seem to be missing. In NewLifeStyle you were given the option to choose an image and also choose an image for small responsive. In LifeStyle2 no such option appears when I switch logo to image.

Also in NewLifeStyle there was a menu option for fonts where you can change the overall font size — I use 100% but in LifeStyle2 the only option to do that is in ThemeMagic but there when I change the default 13px to 100% all the fonts get smaller.

Hi There,

It now uses a module position called logo - so you need to publish a module to that position be it text or an image

Regarding the font size - do you have a link for the site?

I think its using your browser default font size

If you add the link I can help you target it more specifically

Cheers

None of the other sites I'm browsing have that problem. Which css file is the base file you guys are using?

Also when I use NewLifeStyle and set the font to 100% it responds correctly.

Sorry one more question... if I want to edit css files since I saved a custom style in T3 I assume they will be in templates/lifestyle2/local/css. Is that correct?

I'd suggest using the custom.css file to add styling to

It will make it easier to troubleshoot

The template css is a little different when I compare so you would need to adjust the 100% so its increased about the default browser size

Its also impacted by your font choice

CSS wise its

.navbar-default .navbar-nav > li > a, .navbar-default .navbar-nav > li > span {
font-size:2em;}

for example to target the menu independantly

Custom.css works great but now I'm having a problem with the icons — I have jbtype installed but I cons not showing. Also there is the weird issue with the search label, I have it turned off in the module but it is still showing.

if you still in dev stage you and you haven't compile less to css, you regulary have to clear your caches ( browser / server) regulary.

If you have compiled less to CSS it ends up at templates/local/css/themes...

and be sure you don't receive a compile error during less to css. ( only use the small arrow besides the less to CSS btn)

I did compile and purge but still same problem... I even now turned on the default style and turned off custom.css but still no icons. Please have a look specceramics.com/new/ and advise. Need to have resolved ASAP.

The icon issue seems to be only when viewed in FireFox both desktop and mobile... unfortunatly that is my client's preferred browser.

Also is there a way to use my own icon set?

Could be you are coming up against the cross domain security rule in Mozilla

<FilesMatch ".(ttf|otf|eot|woff)$">
<IfModule mod_headers.c>
Header set Access-Control-Allow-Origin "*"
</IfModule>
</FilesMatch>

Try adding this to the root htaccess file

Adding your own font icons isn't easy to do

or are the icons coming from font awesome and they aren't listed in the extension?

have you checked the your font settings in Firefox?:

"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Content

Click the Advanced button and make sure there is a check in the box for "Allow pages to choose their own fonts".

If you change that, try reloading the page. Does Firefox load the missing icons?

If this does work it will affect only the users browser but it would indicate its probably the cross domain security rule

I did make a mistake in the initial paste into the forum thread of the htaccess snippet

@Bert - Thanks :)
