One Page confusion

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Very confused about how to get One Page to work.

I have Lifestyle2 installed as 2 local sites. One as a standalone the other as a quickstart. I've had the 2 sites open side by side and copied over the template setting verbatim. When I type in my own link text, nothing changes. the menu isn't updated, nothing displays.

I can't find any documentation that specifically relates to how to make this work and any of the forum posts I've read on one page just don't make sense.

Can anyone please shed some light on how to implement One Page?

Also, how do I get the parallax effect to work?

One page templates use module rows as menu links

Gridwrap1 - so a module published to this row will trigger this text as a link and for this it would grid1 to grid4 positions

If you check the template responsive layout tab you can see how much width is available to these 4 positions - grid1, grid2, grid3 and grid4

It may be that only grid1 has any width

Not quite sure what you mean by "parallax effect"

As the template doesn't have that built in but you could be referring to the stacked zentools layout published to grid1

I'd check that out on the quickstart you have set up

i've published modules to the grid positions but the text I put in the link boxes doesn't show anything. It really is very confusing.

BTW, whats a Gridwrap1? Haven't seen that before.

A gridwrap is the code that contains a row of module positions

If you check out the template source code you will them prior to the container

What modules are you publishing in your one page template?

Im publishing zen tools and custom html modules. I can see grid1wrap and grid2wrap in the source code, but how do I publish to those positions? Is there a document somewhere I can read?

Ok think we have two issues the module published and the positions its published to being available and set to show

What module position are you trying to show on the site? e.g grid1 etc

I have 2 basic zen tools modules that I am playing with. I have tried publishing each of them to every grid position one at a time. I've even deleted and re-created the modules to make sure they were'nt corrupt. I have also done the same with a custom HTML module with and article link in it.

The only one I can get to show is the main, but the text in the link box doesn't show. And the grid1 position, again the text doesn't show.

I think I'm going to pass on this one. I've spent hours trying to figure it out and just can't get it. Just can't afford to spend anymore time on it.

When ready to start again, I can post some shots of one of my own configurations - I've built one pagers out of newlifestyle, hub2, corporate, motion, etc.

Motion is the one with a parallax effect - one of my favorites.

Glad to pitch in and help.
